"Harvest of Abundance!"

Autumn stirs my soul. It is Creation’s cool-down toward winter’s deep rest and recovery. And it is also the time of harvest and celebration. It is the doorway to the Holidays. Trees become bare, but not without flamboyant outbursts of color.

God’s economy is an un-hoarded surplus.

"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Jesus of Nazareth (Luke 6:37-38)

Shaken together and running over… What a picture!

Jesus announced the hilarious more-than-enough-ness of following him. And he made it very clear that this abundance is harvested from the fertile field of generosity. We enjoy more than enough of what we need for real life as we plant goodness in our relationships.
